Killing It with Creativity at SocialEast 2026

This past October, I had a fantastic time delivering my "Kill it with Creativity” keynote, to a sold-out room of 600+ passionate marketers, brand leaders and creative thinkers from across Atlantic Canada.

We explored some of the world’s best creative work as I decoded emerging trends in tech and culture and showed how the world’s smartest brands are using creativity to win hearts, minds and wallets.

One of my key messages? As AI and automation transform our industry, humanity and creativity have never been more important. Technology helps us work faster but it’s human insight and emotional connection that make brands unforgettable.

Data doesn’t care, and that’s the untapped opportunity for us. The brands that stand out aren’t necessarily the ones with the biggest budgets. They’re the ones brave enough to create work that makes people feel something. Emotional connection is now the new yardstick for brands around the world.

A huge thank you to Mike Morrison and the #SocialEast team for the warm welcome and for bringing together such an engaged and enthusiastic marketing community. The energy in the room and the conversations throughout the event were a wonderful reminder of the power of connecting in person.

Halifax, you were terrific! Here’s to keeping creativity at the heart of everything we do.
